Having been climbing, skiing and mountaineering for over 20 years, my adventures have taken me to the Canadian Rockies, Greenland, Tien Shan, Peruvian Andes, New Zealand's southern alps and rock climbing in Australia. My passion for climbing started in Scotland before taking me to the European Alps where I have done the majority of my climbing & skiing. |

Rock Climbing... June is one of the best months for rock, Geitroz/Barbarine, Col Colombiere, Machabe and the Arve Valley are great locations for multi pitch rock. If you fancy some sunny multi pitch rock climbing have a look at the Rock Climbing page. Alpine Climbing... Good snow conditions and less crowds make June one of the best months to come Alpine Climbing in the Chamonix Valley. For first timers here there are classics like the Aig du Tour, Cosmiques Arete and the Entreves. For the more experienced the tick list could include the Dent d Geant or the Chardonet. It's a great time to learn those skills too, using ice axe and crampons, Crevasse rescue, Ropework and preparation/planning for your alpine objectives. Have a look at the Alpine Climbing page. Alpine Rock... Chamonix is world famous for its mountain granite. For all abilities the routes around the Cabane d Orny (superb hut) in Switzerland always impress. The cracks arund the Envers hut are endless! For day hits ,South face of Aig du Midi, Peigne, Pointe Lachenal and the Aig Rouge are all great venues.
