Rock Climbing

(April - November) Chamonix is a great base for rock climbing with many venues to suit all abilities within easy reach, from single pitch to multi pitch in the mountains.

I can coach you on your technique, help improve your ropework or guide you to the best climbing areas appropriate for your experience & the conditions, in order to maximise your climbing.

Venues such as the Arve or Giffre valleys are close by with a wide variety of rock climbing venues. Fantastic multi pitch granite climbing can be found just over the border into Switzerland and just over an hour further away is the spectacular Miroir d'Argentine.

Through the Mont Blanc tunnel into Italy, the Aosta valley hosts many venues with climbing at all levels. For rock climbing in the mountains the Aiguilles Rouges and the Chamonix Aiguilles are easily reached by cable car.

Guiding can also be arranged in further away venues such as the Verdon Gorge or the cliffs of Preles. Sardinia and Spain can be great early or late season venues.
